The organic curves of my creations are fundamental to my
design ideas. The seamless nature of my work allows me
to create bags with a very distinctive shape and feel.
I hand knit each bag using my original seamless designs.
I enjoy the challenge of creating knitting patterns
which when felted give gentle and pleasing curves.
Once I have completed the knitting stage which can take up
to 3 days for the largest bags,
I felt and shape each item
using my unique fusion of felting and textile techniques.
My process transforms each bag from a loose knitted fabric
into a dense, strong and tactile felt.
Each finished bag is a single seamless creation of thickly felted wool.
